I was in the market for a replacement and was considering the aluminum until I came across an original one on Ebay that had been quad cored then the owner sold the truck. He paid well over three hundred to have the work done but I got it for $87. From what I've learned is that the original units work very well if it's in good condition and will also cool a small block with no problems.
