Forgot to add, Don, on those switches, use the diagram which comes with the switch, or use a Volt / Ohm meter, a low volt test lamp, whatever, so you will know what each terminal on the switch does.

My crayon diagram shows the typical but not all switches will hook up like I show. Play with your switches, safely, to figure out what is on, what is off and what happens when you flip the switch.

A serious CAUTION is never hook up a hot lead, 12 volt nor 6 volt, to neither your sending unit nor your fuel gauge. Both work by being connected to "ground". A positive hot wire accidentally hooked to a gauge or sender will ruin the unit.

Make sure your switch is correctly wired BEFORE you hook up the sending units and the gauge. Double check and triple check.
