Sending units. This is important. Old trucks often require a "30 Ohm" sending unit. There are a lot of variations on this. You will need to visit classic truck part stores on the web, find your FUEL GAUGE and discover if an "Ohm rating" is stated for the sending unit.

Then search one of those stores for a sending unit, factory style, correct for your truck, then discover if an "Ohm rating" is listed.

Once you discover the Ohm rating of your needed sending unit for your fuel gauge, then you can shop around. Look at "universal" fuel gauge sending units. Those come in different Ohm ratings and fit just about any tank. Easy to calibrate and install, piece of cake.

Remember, your sending unit Ohm rating MUST match your fuel gauge.
