Brian, I assume you are aware these chromes must be installed into the rubber before the windshield install.
The chromes on this type of seal are purely decorative and serve no function in securing the windshield.

It's not clear at what stage you are at,whether the windshield is already in the truck or not.
If so, it's virtually impossible to fit them.

It also sounds,i'm afraid,of another case of poor aftermarket products.
I've had similar hassle here with MG and Jaguar trims.
From what I gather the A.D. guys have had similar complaints too.
