I have been around the mouse motor since the add on oil filter 265 in 55 but never saw one like this. There is nothing stamped on the block pad but seems to have a very light engraving like a tool marker makes. It's in script and when my 69 year old eyes couldn't decipher it I had some young eyes take a look but no luck. No casting numbers anywhere and a large flat milled area on the front of the block in front of the fuel pump boss. No numbers, no "Mexico", nothing. Will pull a valve cover tomorrow and check for a head casting numbers. Has an 8 inch balancer but it's hollow in back like a 305. Any ideas?
Evan
