I'm a marine tech, and found this thread intesting. I had an ice problem on a 5.7 TBI injected engine. Ice around the lower part of the throttle body and butterfly valves. Problem with it is that it freezes the nearby MAP sensor, causing the engine to stall out. See... even happens on the newer technology. I found the heat transfer pipe from the exhaust manifold to the intake manifold was kinked, not letting enough heat to keep it all warm and ice free....
