The window channel that the window rides in will need to be longer. I'm not sure what the trim looks like on the earlier doors so that was just a thought of a possible need. For salvage motors, look for something that has a similar inside door contour (nearly flat) like a suburban or truck. The Buick doors I tried were curved and I had a heck of a time getting the motors mounted. I did get it done and had them working but worried that I would roll the window up one day and blow glass all over the place.
