It's probably vapor lock. If it is, a new fuel pump is in order. The next time it happens take the top off of the air filter & work the throttle. If you see a solid stream of gas squirting out of the accelerator pump it's probably not vapor lock but if you get mostly vapor instead of a solid consistant stream it probably is. You'll need a flashlight to see what you need to see. Good luck.
