Hi guys,
I bought a new headlight switch for my truck, because the old one would make the lights flicker a little, and the interior light function didn't work. I installed the new one, but it worked like this...when I pulled it for parklights, parklights came on, so did the tailights. I pulled it all the way, headlights came on, parklights went out ( as they should) but the tailights went out also. The old one, which isnt modified in any way, doesnt do this, so I ended up putting it back in. I have to wonder if the new switch is defective, or if my truck's wiring is that goofed up.
