I use a piece of 4X4 fencepost through both window openings, and suspend the transmission from it with a cable come-along. It's a lot more maneuverable than a transmission jack that way, plus that method works when the truck is sitting in a wet hayfield, overloaded with square bales, with a burned-out clutch and the tires half-buried in the mud! Don't ask me how I know that!
