I wouldn't think it would be much different than removing a 3 speed, and when I had to remove my 3 speed, I just disconnected the torque tube at the rear of the transmission. Make sure that your truck is raised by it's frame so that the torque tube doesn't slam down when it's disconnected. I put a floor jack under the front of the torque tube so that I could lower it just enough to back out the transmission.
