I have to respectively disagree also Jerry, I highly respect your truck savvy but synthetic oil is not vegetable oil and the additives are far from trick.
There are unreliable test methods than can be easily manipulated (portable one arm bandits) and then there are industry standard (ASTM and SAE) tests that are performed on all oils and synthetics outperform petroleum oils in every catagory.
