| | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 105 | well when i pulled the distributor to look at it and install a new vacumme advance and put it back in i now i lined it up in the same spot but i had to loosen up things and turn it so that rotor was facing #1 put things back together and she fired right up.
now if i could just get it to quite crackly thru the carb when i have it at half throttle and more when i'm going down the road. it doesn't want to hills very well.
in installed one of Tom Langdons holly/weber carbs. doesn't leak like the rochester carb did but can't go very fast without it crackling. guess i will have to email him | | |
