The timming marks are on the bell housing and the flywheel there is a hole just to the left of the engine facing the front on the same side as the dis. You'll see the hole in the bell housing and in that hole you'll see a pointer .as you turn the engine over in the right direction you'l see a triangle on the flywheel (TDC)after that you'll see the ball it looks like a ball bearing pressed into the fly wheel when the pointer and the ball are lined up thats your timming mark after you get her running that is what you'll se with the timing light also.
