| | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,464 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,464 | Sounds like you're doing a correct resto on your '55 and maybe want to retain the original equipment? The 12V distributor in '55 was part no. 1112403 (number stamped on the plate rivited to the body).
Another option would be to use Langdon's mini-HEI which is a modified S-10 dizzy. I have one with the external coil and I have yet to have someone say to me "oh, I see you have an HEI..."
