I have a 1993 Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 Cummins Turbo Diesel. If I had to sell all of my trucks (5) except for one, I would keep my Dodge.
It will run on waste vegetable oil that I get for free from restaurants.
When I change my oil, I can pour the old oil into a full tank of diesel and it will burn my waste oil.
It will do almost everything that I could need a truck to do.
Would I put a diesel in my 47/8 GMC 1 ton? I don't know, maybe.
For me, for now, the old 228 is good enough. I'd rather switch to a 270 or 302 GMC, staying in the period and GMC.
