Tim is correct. If there is any fluid in the boot it is leaking out of the vmaster cyl. They are easy to put a kit in. It's a good idea to do the slave cyl at the same time. These rubber parts get more wear then brakes because there is a lot of movement. On brakes you are mostly applying pressure. The cyls. stay in better condition they don't get a chance to corrode in the active area.
