Years ago I made a reproduction glass top for a 1954 Ford Skyliner (Glass Top). I found a plastics company THAT WOULD NOT mold the top unless the car was sitting in their shop (Pollard Plastics, Dallas TX) and then a friend that loves complex geometry and builds high dollar homes made a trimming jig with the car SITTING IN HIS SHOP. Since they were not from a third generation sketch sent off to Taiwan they actually fit better than those from Ford's original supplier. All came about because a thick headed German wouldn't pay some guy in Canada five times too much for one of his NOS tops. It just doesn't happen like this anymore.
