just got this truck a month ago, and have been tryingto get the fuel gauge going. replaced the dash unit. reads full constantly. realize there was no ground wire coming from the sender so i clipped a heavy speaker wire and made a ground, still reading full. looked at the chevy manual and checked the wiring diagram and now i think i may be missing some stuff. currently i got a brown wire running from the sender to the ignition spot on the fuse box. in the diagram it goes through a gas gauge connector, then into an instrument cluster connector then to the ignition switch. maybe i'm posting this prematurely, but ithought maybe someone might have some insight that would save me some minutes.. any thoughts?
