I've pulled car trailer with a 65 C30 with full size utility box on it. Long grade down to 35 mph in 3rd just held it there. Pulled a 69 C20 out of the N. CA hills 20 miles of nasty dirt road, beat the crap out of the rear bumper, ended up replacing it. On the freeway I usually find a big truck doing 55-60 mph and just hang with it. I'm not partial to dual carbs unless they're for show then the more the better. I'd put a small Edelbrock 4 barrel on with an Offy manifold.
