I have a 235 in my '58. I bought a NAPA 1100 this past weekend, and it fit just fine. They have two filters for "heritage" engines- the 1100 is about 6" diameter. The smaller one (number unknown since it didn't apply to my engine) is about 3.5" diameter.
Bring your wallet. The filter was around 14 bucks.
