I quit chasing parts and had a rear end built for my 1941 1 ton pickup.

I am using a stock SB350,700R4 transmission, coupled to a rearend with 3.73 gears.

By using the longer 700R4 transmission I eliminated 1 drive shaft and the support bearing.

Stock 7.50 X 17 tires.

I expect 70mph at 2,000 RPM. The only caution I was given was not to exceed 80mph because I might throw the long drive shaft. I can live with that restriction.

The complete new rear end cost me $1,800.00 and saved a lot of looking and agravation.
