I "dry fitted" the engine with bell housing (P/N 3815891) into the engine bay. I am using the bell housing mount holes relative to the stock transmission cross member as my reference point. This provides a clearance of approx 1/2" between the cylinder head and the fire wall.
As I have found damage to the trans cross member, I will remove it, repair it, reinstall it, and then find either stock or custom mounts to mount the bell housing to the cross member.
This will provide four mounting points (two on the engine and two on the bell housing), and allow me to cantilever the trans off the bell housing as it was originally.
Should be a nice, clean installation.
