I re-read the description of the shunt.
"The solution I decided on was to fit an array of high power shunt resistors wired in parallel with the Amp Meter, these have the effect allowing maximum current flow, but also of limiting the current that flows through the actual Amp Meter movement itself. This is because the current flow is split between the Amp Meter and the shunt resistor array in both charge and discharge situations."
So I think "In Parallel" means that it is wired across the amp terminals, sharing them with the rest of the wiring?
