The short bed mounts the tire higher up, and the long bed fender mounts the tire lower since there is more space between the fender and the cab.

Best way to tell the difference in the fenders is to compare the bottom of the cut-out with the wheel opening in the fender. The lower spare tire location on the long bed fender looks better, IMHO
