Joe - Thanks for clearing this up for me. Looking at the old 139 tooth starter gear along the starter shaft axis the teeth appear to be cut much straighter and more of a pyramid shape than the new starter for the 168 tooth flywheel which appears to curve at the ends as if it is designed to "screw" into the teeth as the starter is engaged...this also clears up what I thought was a mistake on the NAPA site.
