I have had this problem on a couple of spots and I am almost positive that I did not have the surface clean enough. I used acetone before painting on the underside of my hood almost two years ago and it still looks fine. Overall I think its a great product and very tough. And it might not be that easy to sandblast off. I know I had to use a sanding disc on an angle grinder to get a couple of runs out.
