Hi Wrenchbender,
I read your earlier post about that, but I was not sure I fully understood.
1) disconnect the plug/connector at the voltage regulator(black plug, 4 wires, plugs into the side)
2) run a positive hot wire to the blue wire going to the alternator.
3) start the truck
4) Check for over charging with a voltmeter.
5) if overcharging, replace voltage regulator (see shop manual for details)
I just want to make sure I understand you before I fry what's left of my electrical system.
