You don't need another website. This one has some very knowledgeable people. You might post it in the Engine-drive line section. More people look at it.
sometimes we are pretty closed minded. I have seen some pretty simple questions here go on for pages and pages and never really come to a conclusion.
I did not say that he go to another web site for the solution, but there was a site that is more focused on these enfs and there idiosyncrosis.

I agree with Don on going to the Holley, based on your Stromberg WW2 possibly having a leak at the shaft. Carb kits don't deal with that at all. I took my original carb to a great carb shop here in Phoenix after talking with the guy- part of their rebuild includes the throttle plate shaft bushings, so I spent $86 to have it done right, and solved my problems of cold-starting, backfiring, and just generally not running like it should. If it weren't for your vac leak, I would say rebuild it yourself for about 20 bucks- they are very easy to do as carbs go.
