I figured out completely on accident what the steel pedal on the far left on the floor of my '65 does, the brights! I just got a touchfree carwash but didnt close up my triangle windows all the way and payed for it with massive globs of lava hot rainbow wax all over me, the pedals, my dash, and the floor of the cab! Well, at least it smelled good. Anyhoo, after I exited the car wash building and after the hurricane katrina dryers succesfully blew 4 short tons of yard debris out from under my toolbox, my waxey boot slipped right off the clutch (in traffic too, just for that added adrenaline rush!) and mashed down on the brights switch, thus lighting up the dash with "BRIGHT" in red letters. So glad to know I have those, had no idea they even existed then! Anyway, for those of you who don't know what that floor switch does, like me 30 minutes ago...It's a Bright switch!
