I know what you mean about the knee. I had to have mine replaced about 1 1/2 years ago. Just switching to a hydraulic clutch would not make it any easier to push down. I don't know of any assist system available. The clutches we get know are pretty soft. I don't know how old yours is or how hard it is to push down. Some of the throwout brg. forks have 2 grooves in them. If the wedge is on the inner one it will help to change it to the outer groove.
