I also have a steel knee on the brake side but I recovered and got lucky it does not bother Me , YET . I know somone makes a electric setup for working the clutch and My son in law had a hyd. setup on His dirt ,oval track car , I think if You go with the hyd. unit You would be able to shorten the pedal to make it easyer and less painful to get on the clutch ,closer to the floor , My knee hurt real bad when I would pull up on it to get to the brakes that was before it was converted to steel , try a dirt track site for the conversions .
