To get the crush started, I use a 4 foot pipe wrench on the pinion flange, and a 3/4" drive socket and breaker bar with at least 3 feet of pipe over the handle. Let the pipe wrench rest on the floor, and pull down on the cheater. Once the sleeve starts to crush, it will get easier to move. A little NeverSeez on the thread and the face of the flat washer under the nut will keep it from galling. When the bearing gets close to touching the race, be VERY cautious that you don't overtighten anything. Once the sleeve gets crushed too far, it can't be stretched out again- - - -you have to buy another one and start over.
