well, i finally found the arrows, and numbers, on the front and rear caps also, and that can mean only one thing; they all point to the front. bec the front and rear can only go on one way, and that's with their arrows pointing forward. so, the other two would naturally have their's pointing forward
man, they need to have their arrows and numbers better stamped, bec i had to get them under a high intensity lamp and play the tilt it this and that way to see them. time to get the stamps and dremel out
also, i can't find the source now, but i read that the ring grooves in pistons can sometimes be too deep, and that there's narrow shim material made so that it can be wrapped around inside the groove in order to lessen it's depth. and their point was to keep the ring from going any further in than .ox from the outside surface of the pistons. but my brain tells me that they can't go in any further than the cylinder wall can 'push' them in
