For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 18 | I just acquired a 1960 L60 grain truck that was a lucky find - it was purchased new by my family's business and sold in 1973. It has 261 6 cylinder Jobmaster engine, a four-speed transmission, two-speed rear axle, and dump bed. The truck was originally used both for farm use and for hauling Case tractors for the family implement dealership. When sold, the lettering on the doors was painted over; I have been able to carefully remove most of that paint and the original lettering is visibile again. The truck is essentially original (except for new grain box sides), and was used until a couple of years ago for hauling grain. I will have to decide what to do on it; the worst problem is a rusted out panel where the driver's door hinge is supposed to be attached. Photo (Corrected!)
