I have a 235 in my 1941 1/2 ton. I do not have trouble in starting but when I drive any distance, cut the engine off and try to restart it is very difficult to restart. Sometimes I have to use the carb. starting fluid to get it to go.
I have replaced the alternator, regulator, starter, battery, plugs, plug wires, carburator, fuel pump, thermostat, added a heaver battery cable, new points and rotor, added fenton headers and have flowmaster dual exhaust. It seems like everything is there. I'm baffled.
