If it's a 216, chances are the tranny's a Coffee Grinder/Rock Crusher 4 speed.
What're the Engine and Tranny Serial Numbers? that should tell us what the original application was. My 4 speed is original equipment for my 3/4 ton (as far as I can tell) and it has an open driveline.
Half ton and Car Trannies had the Torque Tube setup that I don't think will work for an open driveline.
