For what its worth I believe I have discovered the truck is actually a 1978 even though the PO and Owners manual says that its a 1977. The grill and hood match a 1978, not the 1977. Same type of thing happened when I picked up my 1954 GMC 1/2-ton 3 years ago. The PO told me it was a 53 GMC 3/4-ton and the title had it listed as a 53 1/2-ton. The one piece windshield, square parking lights, and distinct dash layout told me different.
