It matters a great deal what the models of your transmission is. For example there are big differences between a NP54o and a NP542. Next you must know your requirements, i.e., what do you wish to operate with a PTO? Rotation needed? Which side of the tranny? Remote ot direct mount pump? Shaft size? Control type? Speed required?

See what I mean? It is simply not enough to say "I think it is a 540" and ask for a PTO. There are a lot of things to consider. If you'll give me the answers to these things I'll be able to help you or anyone at a power drive dealer will be able to also.

If you cannot find a model number on your transmission then remove the PTO cover plate where you want to put it and count the number of teeth on the PTO drive gear, whether it's in front of or behind the ctr line, LH or RH pitch or spur gear. Then we start our detective work.
