Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,836 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,836 | If you choose to use the external regulator setup, I believe one of the wires to the regulator needs to have a resistor wired in series with it, or the engine will continue to run when the ignition is turned off. It's been a long time since I've done one of those conversions, but I seem to remember that the idiot light circuit will back up enough current to bypass the ignition switch if it's used with an ammeter instead of a "no charge" light. The internal regulator unit works a lot better. Jerry
