Hy Harvester and guys, well I guess that means we can't load test a sealed battery then can we? I can't disagree with you more about the caps, I've seen battery explosions, and everyone I've seen took place with a battery with the caps off! The caps are not off in the vehicle with an alternator with a potential to charge the battery at 100 amps plus. Removing the caps only allows the explosive hydrogen gas to escape quicker, and hence more around the battery making the potential for an accident greater, say what you will, and do as you like, but I will err on the side of everyones safety everytime
