James,If the box is leaking at the pitman arm seals you can change them without much trouble.(1)Remove the pitman arm with a puller.(2)remove the snap ring for the seals.(3)Reinstall the pitman arm and nut,without lock washer.(4)put a LARGE drain pan under gear box to keep mess to a minimum.(5)start truck and go full steering stop right or left.(6)hit the gas a few times and the seals will push out against pitman arm.When going back together make sure your shaft is clean,rust free and lube the seals with a vasoline type lube.NOT K-Y lol.Did this many times over my 20 years with a GM dealer.
