| | | | Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 8 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 8 | I just bought a '57 6400 grain truck. It has a 261 six (determined by block number and captain bars). The oil needs to be changed. I've read on the internet that 1958 was the first year for a full flow oil filter cartridge on the 261. So I think it must need a bypass cartridge but the parts guy is trying to get me to buy the full flow filter. What is the correct Wix, AC, or Purolator filter for my truck. Thanks. | | |
