i'm restoring a 51 chevy 3/4 ton, i put new floor pans in and now i'm working on the parking brake. can anyone tell me what holds the bar and rod that goes down through the floor in place? its the bar that the pedal hooks to then goes through the floor and a bracket bolts to the floor pan. it looks like a beaver was chewing on the end of mine. is there supposed to be a bushing or clip on the end? i cant find any info on it.
