The 63-66 are great trucks. Almost any engine -trans fit them. It is also easy to change rear end ratio,s. The ratio you want to use depends on engine size & tire size. Also you need to consider what you are going to haul or pull. I had a 63 with 454 & o-drive auto. trans. Neat truck.  They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though.
