Hy Rich,the short answer is yes. There may be a specific tool available, but most of the time you just make a tool out of a cotter pin, slip it into the crankshaft oil hole and form the legs to lay flat on the crank to help you turn the upper bearing shell out of the block, you can only turn it one way so the locating tang comes out first. You will have to loosen all the main bearing bolts quite a bit before trying this, hope this helps. I don't own a Fix Or Repair Daily just because I don't mind fixing them once but then I want to drive it a few hundred thousand miles before fixing it again.
