You'll find a number on the side of it. It can be changed to the one you need if you don't have it. The c4 & C6 numbers indicate the assembly configuration, which indicated the position of the PTO on the transmission opening. The housings are reversible so the the output shaft can be in a high or low position in relation to the C/L of the case. There are dozens of input gears to fit most of the trannys of that period. (60-80's)when this model was made. The question will be if they still have one to fit the SM420 which had been replaced by the CH465 by that time.
If you wish to operate a mechanical winch then ttodd is correct in that you must have a forward/reverse PTO. They are pretty expensive if you must buy a new one. Also it needs to be a low % of engine speed as they will demand a lot of power and torque from the engine at idle. | | |
