Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 6 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 6 | I am in the process of rebuilding a 1941 GMC 228 engine with a down draft carb. Someone has put some no brand type carb on it that I would like to replace with an origianl style Zenith. The maintenance manual that I have simply states that it is a Zenith 28 series. I have looked around a little but there are so many different part or tag numbers on the down draft Zeniths that I can't be sure which one is right. I would think that some of the carbs are of the same size and design with different needles and jets for various engines sizes. Any help would be appreciated.
