The first is the carb model and the second is the "outline number". The "outline number is stamped on a small metal disc, usually on the fuel bowl cover. ( 28-AV-11, 9043) ( 28-AV-11RL, 9074) (28-AV-11DL, 9428) (28-AVX-9, 9565). Any questions on any of these carbs feel free to ask either here or via e-mail. Hope this helps some.
