Old Ramblers used wingnuts if I remember correctly.
One old truck I bought had a lot of junk in the back when I bought it. I cleaned the big stuff out and found the original air cleaner. Then I swept it out and looked through the dirt and found the original wing nut for the air cleaner. It made me feel real lucky.
